At the end of May, the Caldarusani forest opens its arms in a warm embrace and invites you in to witness a marvelous explosion of nature's spirit, with all its nuances! Pedaling joyfully, gliding along shady trails, charging right through the heart of the forest, you will discover at the 5th anniversary of the La Broaste MTB marathon the very reasons that put you on a bike saddle. By then, the Sun will be smiling widely on us and we can expect to have the perfect background for cycling adventures.

 

The courses, fashioned diligently by the MPG team and Razvan Juganaru will be there to cultivate the experience, the longing for freedom and the appetite for competition. You are advised to save one drop of energy for the fun at the Finish line!

Course marking

The course will be thoroughly marked and cleaned in the week prior to the event. The marking includes white-and-red BOSCH ribbon, blue-coloured signals and blue-coloured biodegradable spray. In the attempt to protect the forests and the natural scenery, the markings will not be excessive. Consequently, we ask of you to consult the maps of the courses, pay attention to the markings and respect the indications of the volunteers that are there to help you.

Outside the event's program, riding the courses is strictly forbidden, for safety reasons, in accordance with the Forestry Code.

The Short route is open to participants under the age of 13 and also recommended for level 4 riders - beginners. All riders will cross the route only once. The following races are available:

- Competitive | Male | Level 4 for age categories 5-8 and 9-12

- Competitive | Female | Level 4 for age categories 5-8 and 9-12

- Sportive | Open (race without awards ceremony, open to child attendants & beginner

Update 22.05.2017: Following a  reconnaissance visit alongside the administrators of the wildlife in the Caldarusani-Balta Neagra forest, the Course has been modified to protect several animal species. The final course is available below. The changes are minor and the most pleasant areas are still included in the race tracks.
